Dzamling means 'world' and Gar means 'place for people to gather and practice'. This is the name that was given by the Tibetan Dzogchen master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu (1938-2018). Chögyal Namkhai Norbu was an eminent scholar of Tibetan culture and a profound guide to wise living who was unique in the contemporary spiritual domain.
Over the years his fame became renowned worldwide because of the extraordinary value of his research on Tibetan culture and through his mastery of the ancient Dzogchen Atiyoga teaching, an authentic heritage of mankind.
The intention of Dzamling Gar is to manifest Chögyal Namkhai Norbu's dream of Global Gar as a place where the whole Dzogchen Community can meet and collaborate together for the benefit of all sentient beings.
Volunteers from all over the world come to Dzamling Gar to work in developing this precious place, from gardening and cleaning to participating in the board of directors and as instructors.
We are committed to providing you with a rich and fulfilling experience.
